This 5 credit hour course approved by the Kansas Board of EMS is designed for experienced EMT-B’s interested in providing advanced patient assessments, obtaining blood for laboratory analysis, initiating IV’s, providing nebulized breathing treatments and endotracheal intubation. Students who successfully complete this course are eligible to sit for the Kansas EMT-I certification exam.  Because Kansas does not recognize the national certification for this level of certification, only Kansas EMT-I certification is possible at the conclusion of this course.
