ACCC - Allied Health Social Service Designee/Activities Director
This program is offered together in a workshop format.  The program is approved by the KDHE.  In order to receive both certificates, the student must complete the following courses, no exception.
  1. Philosophy and Performance Skills of LTC – Develops the philosophy and performance skills of long-term care for residents of nursing homes.

  2. Management of Care Plans - Established steps for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of the resident.

  3. Social Activities – Emphasizes various activities, which nursing home personnel can use to improve the physical, emotional, and mental states of the patients.

  4. Introduction to Social Work Practice – Introduces basic areas of social work including historical perspectives, philosophy, ethics, counseling, and social services.

  5. Psychological Perspectives on Aging – An analysis of the social and psychological factors of being an elderly person.
