ACCC - Allied Health Social Service Designee/Activities Director

This program is offered together in a workshop format. The program is approved by the KDHE. In order to receive both certificates, the student must complete the following courses, no exception.

Philosophy and Performance Skills of LTC – Develops the philosophy and performance skills of long-term care for residents of nursing homes.
Management of Care Plans - Established steps for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of the resident.
Social Activities – Emphasizes various activities, which nursing home personnel can use to improve the physical, emotional, and mental states of the patients.
Introduction to Social Work Practice – Introduces basic areas of social work including historical perspectives, philosophy, ethics, counseling, and social services.
Psychological Perspectives on Aging – An analysis of the social and psychological factors of being an elderly person.
