Head Coach: Doug Desmarteau
Doug Desmarteau is in his fourth year as men's and women's soccer coach at ACC. He is a nationally licensed coach and has been coaching and playing competitive soccer for over 25 years. Before coming to Iola he was the head Varsity soccer coach for Manhattan High School for five years. While at MHS he compiled a record of 49 wins and 19 losses. The team captured three regional titles and one I-70 league championship. He was named Central Region Coaches Association Class 6A Coach of the year twice. He was also the Director of Coaching and Player Development for the Little Apple Soccer Club for 5 years. He is currently on the Kansas, Nevada, and Alaska State coaching staffs and is an instructor for coaching education in all three states. He has been head coach for the 84, 86, 87, and 89 Kansas state ODP teams.
Assistant Coach: Jeremy McGinnis
Jeremy is in his second year as men's and women's assistant soccer coach at ACC. He currently holds his national D license through USSF, advanced national diploma, and goal keeping level 1 and 2 through NSCAA. Before coming to ACC he was assistant coach for Topeka West men's and women's soccer teams. While there Topeka West made numerous appearances in the 5A state championships, both on the men's and women's sides. He was also a head trainer and coach for Prodigy Soccer Club. He worked with both boys and girls teams -ranging from ages 9-17 and captured many tournament and league titles while with prodigy. As a former ACC player he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the coaching staff.
