Associate in Arts with an Emphasis in Anthropology

Allen’s associate degree in Anthropology prepares students for successful transfer to university study by providing a solid foundation in anthropology and related social sciences.   With a degree in Anthropology, students’ career goals may focus toward cultural anthropology, public policy analysis, archaeology, cultural resource management, or advocacy.

The Associate in Arts with an emphasis in Anthropology is a sequence of recommended Anthropology and general education courses designed to meet most Anthropology degree requirements for the first two years of study for Kansas Board of Regents universities, and for private university Anthropology degrees in central Kansas, so that students may transfer into the university at the junior level.  Graduation with the associate degree in Anthropology helps to assure that successful transition.
