Iola is the county seat of Allen County, Kansas located approximately 110 miles east of Wichita via U.S. 54Hwy; 105 miles south of Kansas City, Kansas; 155 miles west of Springfield, Missouri; and 140 miles north of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Two major U.S. highways, both U.S. 54 Hwy. and U.S. 169 Hwy. are the main routes to our city. These major roadways intersect at the east city limits.

From Kansas City:
• Take I-35 S toward Wichita-approx. 51 miles.
• Take the US 59 N exit (Exit 183) toward Garnett/Lawrence .3 miles.
• Turn left onto US-59 S-22.5 miles.
• Enter next roundabout and take 1st exit onto US-169 S-approx. 26 miles.
• Take US-54 exit ramp and turn right at East Street/US-54 W-approx. 1 mile.
• Turn right on N. Cottonwood St. and continue 1.2 miles.
• End at 1801 N. Cottonwood St.

From Topeka:
• Take US-75 S to US 54E (at Yates Center)-approx. 80 miles
• Turn left onto W Mary St/US-54 E to Iola-approx. 20 miles
• Turn left on N. Cottonwood Street, and proceed approx. 1.2 miles.
• End at 1801 N. Cottonwood St.

From Wichita
• Take I-35 N toward ElDorado-approx. 22 miles.
• Take Exit 71 toward KS-254/ElDorado KS-196.
• Turn left on N. Cottonwood Street-.3 miles.
• Turn right onto W 6th Ave.-.1 miles.
• Turn left onto KS-254 E/W Central Ave, which turns into US-54-approx. 85 miles.
• Turn left on N. Cottonwood Street, and proceed approx. 1.2 miles.
