

Allen County Community College has been approved by the Immigration and Naturalization Service of the United States as a school for non-immigrant students. An international student interested in enrolling at Allen County Community College must have the following papers on file to be considered for admission:
- Application for Admission
- Declaration of Financial Support
- Verification of Financial Capability
- Authenticated, Translated Copies of All Academic Records
- Proof of English Proficiency (School code for requesting TOEFL is 6305)
- TOEFL Score of 520 or higher, or
- Official transcript documenting at least 24 credit hours of English-As-A-Second-Language course work with a 2.5 GPA or higher, or
- Official transcript documenting 24 hours of college level course work with a 2.5 GPA or higher and demonstrated English proficiency from an American university or college, or
- be a citizen of an English-speaking country.
- Receipt from payment of the $50.00 Application Fee (nonrefundable)
All required paperwork, documentation, and fees must be submitted by June 1 for the fall semester, October 15 for the Spring semester, and March 15 for the summer session.
Once the documents have been received by Allen County Community College, they will be evaluated for admission status. Upon admission approval, an I-20 form (Certificate of Eligibility for F-1 Status) will be issued to the student. When presented to an American Consulate, the I-20 may be used to secure the appropriate visa to enter the United States as an international student.
Payment of all tuition and fees must be paid in full one week before the first day of class each semester. International students must enroll in twelve credit hours per semester.
Upon arriving on campus, the student will need the following documents to register for classes:
- I-20 (F-1 Status)
- Passport/Visa
- I-94 Arrival/Departure Card
- Verification of medical insurance
Allen County Community College uses mandatory placement testing to place students in classes in which they can be most successful. Placement test scores (ASSET, COMPASS, ACT or SAT) are required prior to enrollment. If a student scores below college level in reading, writing or math, the student will be required to enroll in developmental courses the first semester. Successful completion of necessary developmental courses will be required before enrollment in college level courses will be allowed.
