Allen County inks two middle distance signees for 2006
Hoping to build up their mid-distance crew for next year, Allen County signed two half-milers from Kansas.

Matt Silvosky Casey Corbett
Matt is from Shawnee Heights High School, he is an 800m, 400m runner that can run XC. His personal bests in the 800 are 2:01 as a junior and 52 in the 400. I see Matt running high 1:50’s his first year here as well as be on a 4x800 that will be under 8:00 easily. I believe Matt hasn’t even touched what he could run for time. Once he gets into 800m shape and gets some college races under him; I believe the sky is the limit for Matt. Matt is pictured with his mother is Joan, and his father is George. Casey is with his mother Sondra and father Douglas Corbett as well as with his Coach Sheaffer. Casey is from Douglas High School. Casey is another 800m guy who ran 2:03 as a junior and should be able to run in the mid to high 1:50’s his first year here. Like Matt, he has that attitude that I am bringing to Allen County next semester. They’re the type of runners that coaches wish would never graduate. Our freshman class that is coming in will turn some heads across the conference and region. These two guys will push each other in practice. I’m really looking forward to coaching these fine athletes.
