Planning for a Brighter Future
Strategic planning at Allen Community College is a process by which the college provides a framework for operational planning. This ensures that the college can fulfill its mission, vision, and the needs of its stakeholders.
The College engaged in a comprehensive strategic planning process as a dynamic roadmap for the College’s future. A Bridge Plan was developed in 2021 to allow for a presidential transition in 2022. The planning process included a review of vision, mission, guiding principles, internal and external SCOT (Strengths, Challenges, Opportunities, and Threats) Analyses, extensive research (Allen Market Assessment Results conducted by Clarus Corporation), and regular campus updates. The process resulted in the development of Allen's 2023-2027 strategic plan with strategic goals, measurable objectives, and key performance indicators consistent with college priorities.
