Allen’s associate degree in Communication prepares students for successful transfer to university study by providing a solid foundation in public speaking, interpersonal and mass communication studies. With a degree in Communication, students’ career goals may focus toward social media, broadcasting, journalism, film, marketing, advertising, corporate training, public relations, organizational communication, intercultural communication, research, or teaching.

The degree track is a sequence of recommended Communication and general education courses designed to meet most Communication degree requirements for the first two years of study for Kansas Board of Regents universities, and for private university Communication degrees in Kansas, so that students may transfer into the university at the junior level.  Graduation with this degree helps to assure that successful transition.
