Teacher Education - Secondary

Allen’s associate degree in Teacher Education: Secondary prepares students for successful transfer to university study by providing a solid foundation in education and general education studies.  With a degree in Teacher Education: Secondary, students’ career goals may focus toward secondary education, special education, coaching, or extension specialist.

The degree track is a sequence of recommended courses designed to meet most education-focused degree requirements for the first two years of study for Kansas Board of Regents universities, so that students may transfer upon degree completion and enter university study at the junior level. Graduation with this degree helps to assure that successful transition.
