Allen’s Cheer Team: Competition Isn’t Easy

Many people think that Cheer is not a sport, but that is not true. Cheer is not only a sport, but it is also a challenge of your strength and stamina. One example of that is cheer competitions. The difference between competition and cheering on the sideline is, when a person is on the sideline, they do a couple of cheers and stunts and get a break in between, but when a person goes to a competition, they are doing a whole routine for three plus minutes with no break. That includes dancing, lifting flyers into the air, and tumbling.

The Benefits of Stretching

Whether we are stepping out onto the basketball court, soccer field, baseball/softball field, or track, we all know we need to stretch and warm up beforehand. Stretching is very important. Without stretching, we could unintentionally damage our bodies.

Red Devils Spirit Program Seeks New Recruits

The Red Devil Spirit Program is seeking new members for the 2023-2024 school year.
The Allen Red Devil Spirit Program is known for cheering on our Allen Red Devils at the men and women’s basketball games. Not only do they cheer at games, but they also compete at multiple competitions during the spring, even placing at the National Cheerleaders Association national competition. Allen’s spirit program consists of the cheer and dance team and the mascot; Reggie the Red Devil.
