Allen's associate degree in theatre prepares students for successful transfer to university study by providing foundational theater courses in acting, stagecraft, and theatre appreciation as well as opportunities for performance, directing, and technical theatre experiences. With continued study and a college degree in drama studies, students' career goals may focus toward theatre performance in acting or direction; theatre education in secondary and post-secondary schools; or technical theatre in scenery, lighting, costume design, or theatrical make-up. Allen's affordable theater college courses set the stage for creativity and success!

The Associate in Arts with an Emphasis in Theatre degree track is a sequence of recommended theater and general education courses designed to meet most theater degree requirements for the first two years of study for Kansas Board of Regents universities, and for colleges with drama programs in Kansas, so that students may transfer into the university at the junior level. Graduation with the associate degree in theater helps to assure that successful transition.
