header Revised 2018

Inferno was established in the 2001-2002 academic year as a student showcase of literary talent. Faculty-sponsored, but student-run, the Inferno continues an even longer tradition of such publications at Allen. A student editorial board meets with the sponsor at the beginning of the fall semester of an academic year to establish submission guidelines, deadlines, and format of that year's volume. In the following spring semester, this same board reviews submissions of original poems, short stories, essays, and prose pieces from students, faculty, staff, administration, and community members at large for inclusion in Inferno. The final product is distributed in late April or early May. An open-mic poetry slam is held in early May to close out the activities. Future editions of Inferno will be published on the college's website as an e-zine.
