Academic Support and Tutoring

Math tutoring is an academic support service available at no charge to students. Assistance can be provided for all levels of algebra, statistics, trigonometry, and calculus. Help may also be available for those subjects with a mathematical component.

• Providing assistance with assignments
• Assisting students with test-taking strategies
• Helping with strategies for approaching story (word) problems
• Provide students with supplemental materials and resources for some math topics
• Providing a nice, quiet, and welcoming atmosphere to work with access to computers and printers

Iola Tutoring Schedule - SPRING 2024
On-Site tutoring is available in the southeast corner of the Library on the Iola campus, and students are encouraged to visit during those hours, or they can make an appointment if preferred.

Tutoring hours are based on the availability of student tutors. For an updated, accurate tutor schedule, contact the writing center coordinator.

Students are encouraged to visit during those hours on a drop-in basis or make an appointment.

Writing tutoring assists Allen students with the writing they are assigned in any of their college courses.

How to submit a paper through Allen's Writing Lab for review.
Papers will be returned within 48 hours excluding weekends and holidays.
