The only thing that you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library. – Albert Einstein
At Allen Community College we value the library, and with its relaxed atmosphere it is a popular place for students to study, meet with a tutor, or play chess. Faculty and staff use the library to host meetings, eat lunch, or find a good book, and community members are always welcome to browse our shelves, read the paper, or use the computers.
The mission of Allen Library is to support student success virtually, concurrently, and in person by providing high-quality resources in student-centered learning environments, and we are dedicated to supporting students in a caring and involved manner. Academic Support, which provides students with tutoring services, is also located in the library. Students are encouraged to use the computers and printer to complete homework.
In addition to our physical spaces, the Allen Library is committed to providing resources to all our students regardless of how they access Allen. Our exceptional collection of electronic resources, streaming videos, and e-books are accessible via our state-of-the-art Discovery Service. We also offer an ask-a-librarian feature and video chat meetings for students with research needs.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions about our library and our resources, as the Allen Community College Library staff is dedicated to helping our entire community.
